美國人終于回過神：中國疫苗能救命 | 外媒說

 中國疫苗研發(fā)牽動(dòng)全球的心，美國人也終于意識(shí)到了：中國疫苗最安全，能救命！

繼巴西州長對(duì)美國《財(cái)富》雜志稱贊中國疫苗是全球最安全的疫苗之后，美媒再次發(fā)文稱，“中國疫苗能救美國人的命”（A Chinese Vaccine Could Save American Lives）。

美媒指責(zé)聯(lián)邦政府不采購中國疫苗

明明是“最安全”、“最有希望”

彭博新聞社在當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間26日發(fā)布的一篇文章中指責(zé)美國政府不采購中國的疫苗。

報(bào)道稱，在進(jìn)一步臨床試驗(yàn)和其他研究取得成果之前，美國并不清楚哪種新冠疫苗是最安全、最有效的，因此聯(lián)邦政府提前購買了7種新冠疫苗。希望通過提前預(yù)定的方式，在必要時(shí)確保這些公司為加速生產(chǎn)做好準(zhǔn)備。

Since it's impossible to know which vaccines for Covid-19 will be safest and most effective until the clinical trials are further along and other studies have been made, the federal government has made advance purchases of seven vaccines. By pre-purchasing a portfolio of vaccines, the US can ensure that when the time comes to ramp up production, the companies will be ready.

這些新冠疫苗的生產(chǎn)商大多是跨國公司，包括輝瑞、賽諾菲、阿斯利康以及強(qiáng)生等。在理想情況下，應(yīng)該包括至少一個(gè)來自中國的疫苗。但目前為止，一個(gè)都沒有。

The current portfolio is multinational, including investments in Pfizer, Sanofi, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. Ideally, there should be at least one Chinese vaccine included, but there is not.

醫(yī)學(xué)雜志《柳葉刀》近期發(fā)表的一篇文章也持相同觀點(diǎn)：中國疫苗的臨床試驗(yàn)結(jié)果是“有希望的”、“足夠安全的”。

One recent paper in the medical journal The Lancet indicated a result of “promising” and also sufficiently safe.

此外，報(bào)道還總結(jié)了中國研發(fā)、生產(chǎn)新冠疫苗具有的優(yōu)勢(shì)：

• 中國擁有廣泛的信息集中能力，目前正在有效地以公開的方式加速開展第三期試驗(yàn)。

China, with its extensive information-gathering capabilities, is effectively conducting its Stage 3 trial in public, and at an accelerated pace.

• 中國疫苗都被設(shè)計(jì)用于快速生產(chǎn)和快速擴(kuò)展，這對(duì)遏制疫情很有幫助。

Another advantage of the Chinese vaccines is that they are designed for quick production and rapid scalability.

中國疫苗這么好，為啥還不用？

美媒：怕被打臉

文章認(rèn)為，美國政府早前多次就新冠疫情對(duì)中國進(jìn)行抹黑、詆毀，現(xiàn)在來看，這樣的宣傳報(bào)道已經(jīng)讓美國進(jìn)退兩難。

總不能一邊叫喊著“中國病毒”，一邊又用中國生產(chǎn)的疫苗吧？如此一來，特朗普政府從未認(rèn)真努力過與中國達(dá)成疫苗共享協(xié)議。

You can't call it "the Chinese virus" and then tell Americans they ought to take a Chinese vaccine. So the Trump administration has made no serious effort to make a vaccine-sharing deal with China.

如果最后美國還是要用中國的疫苗，那么對(duì)美國政府來說，這將是一次羞辱性的打臉。

但文章認(rèn)為，考慮到新冠疫情給美國本土造成的巨大損害，為獲得一種有效的疫苗而付出的代價(jià)是微不足道的。

It would probably qualify as a humbling propaganda defeat if America turned out to need a Chinese vaccine. But eating a little crow would be a small price to pay for a useful vaccine, given the immense damage wrought by Covid-19.

中國愿與全球分享疫苗成果

但美國就是不參與！

彭博新聞社在報(bào)道中表示，中國不僅疫苗質(zhì)量好、生產(chǎn)速度快，更重要的是，中國愿與全球各國進(jìn)行合作、共享。

早在2020年3月，中國就提出第一時(shí)間與全球共享病毒和病毒基因組序列，一直以來堅(jiān)持通過國際合作來開展疫苗的研發(fā)工作。

10月8日，中國簽署了疫苗共享多邊協(xié)議，正式加入“新冠肺炎疫苗實(shí)施計(jì)劃”（Covax）。

據(jù)悉，截至10月19日，已有184個(gè)國家和地區(qū)加入由世衛(wèi)組織及其合作伙伴發(fā)起的“新冠肺炎疫苗實(shí)施計(jì)劃”。

但美國并未加入。

China also just signed up for Covax, the vaccine-sharing multilateral arrangement. The US still has not joined.

在全球共同應(yīng)對(duì)新冠病毒大流行的背景下，類似“退圈”“不合作”的場(chǎng)景，在美國已經(jīng)多次上演。

當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間9月11日，聯(lián)合國大會(huì)通過一項(xiàng)決議，敦促加強(qiáng)國際合作與團(tuán)結(jié)互助，以應(yīng)對(duì)新冠疫情。

該決議獲得169票贊成。而美國投出反對(duì)票，再次站在世界的對(duì)立面。

綠色為贊成票，紅色為反對(duì)票。

報(bào)道稱，即便特朗普不是美國總統(tǒng)，沒有中美貿(mào)易戰(zhàn)，也不能保證美國就可以和中國達(dá)成疫苗協(xié)議。

In all fairness, there is no guarantee that the US would have been able to strike a vaccine deal with China even if Trump were not president and there were no trade war.

對(duì)此，英國劍橋大學(xué)前高級(jí)研究員、中國問題專家馬丁·雅克一針見血地指出，美國還在認(rèn)為它是世界上唯一的主導(dǎo)者，但這已經(jīng)不可能了。只有當(dāng)美國認(rèn)同必須與中國一道共同實(shí)施全球治理的時(shí)候，這種氣氛和關(guān)系才會(huì)發(fā)生變化。

The Americans are insisting that they should enjoy sole primacy in the world. And this is no longer possible. This atmosphere and relationship will change at the moment when the United States comes to the view that it must share primacy in the world with China.
